Lu Chun Day 3

After we loaded onto the van, it drove us into the Lu Chun village. Aunty Nan pointed out places as the van went down hill. The village is a one street village so it is easy to find your way around without getting lost.

We soon arrive at our hotel, which was near the middle of the hill. Unloading our luggage from the van, we waited outside while the room bookings were settled. We got two 3 person rooms: My family on the 4th floor and Joseph, his mum and Aunty Connie on the 3rd.

We showered and then met downstairs for breakfast. Once again, we ate noodles. The noodles we had this time was Lu Chun's specialty and it was absolutely delicious. After we finished our scrumptious breakfast, we explored the village a bit, then went over to Aunty Nan's house.

We met Aunty Nan's kids: Kai Qi, Kai En, and Kai Le. Kai Le is the youngest and the only boy. While the adults were busy, we played games together and also visited the roof to play with their 2 rabbits. Aunty Karen, one of Aunty Nan's colleagues and a sister in Christ also came round.

After an eternity, the adults decided to go for lunch. We had lunch at yet another noodle shop. So far, we tried at least 4 different types of noodles but I found the one at this shop the best yet.

We visited the workshop of Aunty Nan and Uncle KC. It gives jobs to broken families so they can support themselves. The work centre is a centre where women make recycled paper to make cards. The recycled paper is very pretty, and so are the cards. We watched the various stages of the process, then the adults went to talk about important stuff so we played on the roof.

After another eternity, the adults finished their discussion. My folks bought two huge bags of the cards being made to give away/use back in Singapore.

We then went sightseeing and the three kids accompanied us. 水花, another sister in Christ, accompanied us too and led us around. We visited a tea plantation and terraced fields and a steep banked reservoir. The scenery was wonderful.

After a quick rest back at the hotel, we met Aunty Nan, Aunty Karen and the others again. We had a marvelous and delicious hotpot dinner at a restaurant as it was Uncle KC's birthday.

Then, we returned to Aunty Nan's house for cake. Aunty Nan's family bought a singing candle, which played the birthday song starting from the moment you lit it until you cut the wire. It was late when we retired to the hotel.
